Following the recent outburst by different parts of the country against the activities of Herdsmen, the government has given a new instruction to security operatives.
The directives that the president, Muhammadu Buhari given to all security outfits and units is for them to treat anyone seen with AK-47 as a criminal.
The Miyetti Allah group, in his statement agreed to the law but mentioned a very interesting angle to the directive. They asked if the directive would also apply to Amotekun.
The question on everyone's lips now is that what would happen to Amotekun in the South West and the Eastern security network (ESN) in the East?
It is the humble opinion of this writer that the instructions be further clarified so as to not cause confusion amongst security outfits
