The Abodi of Ikale Land, Oba Babatunde Faduyile, has assured the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, of the support of the Ikale people in the upcoming state elections of October 10.
The monarch said that although Akeredolu did not win in Ikale for the two consecutive times he contested, he assured that Ikale 's people were firmly behind him in the upcoming election. The monarch spoke in his palace on Saturday while receiving the governor and his entourage, who are in the town following the "meet the delegate" tour of Ondo 's Southern Senate district.
Similarly, the Oniju of Iju-Odo, Oba Festus Olumoyegun, said Governor Akeredolu was proud to have renamed the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH) to the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology. He also commended the Governor for putting Ikale's sons and daughters in key positions in government and in the development of the area.
He said, "We have a son who is the Commissioner for Education, we have another son who is the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, our daughter here is the President of SUBEB. So, why don't we have to support your re-election? We 're behind you now.
