General TY Danjuma is a prominent and respected name in Nigeria. He is well known for his role in the 1966 bloody coup that ousted Major General Aguiyi Ironsi. He held positions like the Chief of Army staff from July 1975 to October 1979 and also served as Minister of Defence under the regime of president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Today, this great man is a billionaire businessman and also member of board of directors at the MMF. But in this article, i am not discussing General TY Danjuma, I want to talk about the successful woman behind his back that goes by the name, Daisy Danjuma.
Daisy Danjuma is a Nigerian politician and lawyer. She was senator representing the Edo state South Senatorial district in the Nigerian senate from 2003 to 2007. She also re- contested during the Nigeria general election in 2011 but was unsuccessful.
Daisy Danjuma is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with a BA in law in 1976 and called to the Nigerian Bar in 1977. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Nigerian Acceptances Limited, a Merchant Bank from 1977 to 1978. She also worked as company Secretary/Legal adviser of NTA from 1982 to 1992.
Daisy Danjuma is happily married to Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma and they are blessed with five children.
