The northern youths had noticed that the CCT Chairman who had assalted a security guard was left unpunished and even still standing. This was a big blow to them as they had stated.
The CCT Chairman had had a clash with a security guard at Banex Plaza, Wuse 2 Abuja over the issue of wrong parking. Umar had parked his vehicle wrongly and was being questioned for it but,he responded arrogantly to the guard and even threatened him a jail term for 50 Years. He had told the security guard that, not even God will save him from the punishment when he was clearly the one at fault.
Umar wanted to use his power and wealthy status to his advantage over the guard backing it up with the law on his side. This did not go well with the northern youths. The youths noted it was an attempt to stir division in the country. So, that he would escape public scrutiny and the consequences of his actions. So, they demanded that his position is taken away from him due to his attitude.
