Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, who was a guest on Channels Television's 'Politics Today,' which was watched by DAILY INDEPENDENT, said it is incorrect for certain Nigerians to generalise that things are not functioning in the nation at the present.
"When you say things are not in good shape, you are making a broad statement, but that could not be accurate. In some locations, there are difficulties. There are problems in security and the economy, but it does not imply that wonderful things are not happening in the nation "..
"I was just talking to you about infrastructure, namely items that would be completed in the first quarter of next year. Is not that a good thing? There are difficulties in the country, but they are being addressed ".
"Be rest confident that those problems will be aggressively addressed throughout this administration's tenure. It will be difficult for anyone to come out and declare that things in the country are not right. No! There are difficulties, just as there are difficulties in many other countries across the world. But are there any positive developments in Nigeria? I am confident that tremendous things are taking place in this country ".
