'If The Senate Presidency Is Coming To The South, It Must Come To The South East' - George Agbakahi

A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, George Agbakahi has demanded that the Senate Presidency should be zoned to the South East to end Agitations and Marginalisation of the region. Mr. George speaking in an interview with Arise Tv news stated that it's becoming quite clear that the South would get the Senate Presidency after the scrutinization of the Muslim-Muslim ticket that is already in place.

He argued therefore that if the Senate Presidency is coming to the South, it has to come to the South East. According to him, this would unify the country and ends talks about Marginalisation that have been seen in previous administrations. He noted that this would be the first great step in the Bola Tinubu's administration.

He said, ''As we all know, the President-elect is from the South-West. The Vice President-elect is from the North-East. And based on equity, we see it as something that is fair for the Presidency of the Senate of this great country to come to the South East.

We know it is the party that has the capacity to zone it. But at the same time, based on the politicking that is going on in the country, it is becoming clearer that the Presidency of the Senate will come to the South. And if the Senate Presidency is coming to the South, it must come to the South-East to end agitation. Especially taken into consideration as well the marginalization that has been in place in the previous administration.''
