Dr. Iyorchia Ayu
The Third Republic Senate President who hails from Benue State emerged as Consensus Candidate of the North-Central Geo-political Zone at a Meeting held at the Benue State Governor's Lodge, Abuja on Tuesday. Ayu has the backing of the Benue State Governor and Deputy Chairman of the Zoning Committee, Samuel Ortom who is the only PDP Governor in the North Central.
Barrister Ibrahim ShemaThe North-West adopted the Voting process during which Shema, a Former Governor of Katsina State won in Six out of Seven States in the Geo-political Zone while his main challenger, Senator Ahmed Makarfi who is a Former Governor of Kaduna State was left with votes from his Home State.
Senator Suleiman Nazif
Like it's Counterpart in the North-Central, The Party Stakeholders in the North-East also adopted the Consensus Candidacy and nominated the incumbent Deputy National Chairman (North) of the PDP, Senator Suleiman Nazif as the Flagbearer of the Zone.
