EFCC Questions Former Senate President Over Alleged N780m Fraud

Senator pius Anyim, who was Senate president between 2000 and 2003 is under going serious questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged corruption and diversion of public funds.

It was reported by Sources who spoke anonymously that Anyim arrived at the headquarters of the EFCC in Abuja at about 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 24. Where he is been questioned by a team of of operatives. The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) has been linked to the ongoing corruption and money laundering case involving ex-aviation minister and serving senator, Stella Oduah.

Oduah is being investigated over fraudallegation, involving over 780 million naira meant for rehabilitation. She was said to have diverted the said amount to a company in which Anyim was said to have interest in.

Mismanagement of public fund is a serious crime and must be treated as same. Senator pius will face the full wrath of the law if found guilty.
