"This is wickedness" - Nigerians blast Governor Wike for demolishing two hotels (Photos)

Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike over the weekend marked two hotels; Prodest hotel and Etemeteh Hotel located in Eleme LGA for violating lockdown order despite the two hotels not in the two places under total lockdown.

Governor Wike who is generally regarded as a man of his word went ahead with the demolition order as he personally oversaw the demolition of the hotels.

As in usual fashion, Nigerians have raced to react to the news of the demolition with dissenting voices. They questioned the rationale behind demolition of someone's source of likelihood instead of temporary confiscation until the person pays a levy or a fine.

Others took Wike to the laundry as they labeled him a wicked governor for going ahead with the demolition. Nigerians were seemingly feeling thorned and distraught as they poured in their reactions.

See the reactions below.

I stand personally with the set of Nigerians that opined that Governor Wike should have confiscated the hotel instead of ordering demolition. The state could have benefitted by the fine imposed or using the hotels as part of Isolation Centres until the covid-19 pandemic is over.

Do you think Governor Wike action is rationale?
