The National Working Committee, NWC, of the People's Democratic Party had earlier asked Hon. Soji Adagunodo to step aside pending the investigation of the vote of no confidence passed against him and allegation of financial misappropriation. The National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan has ratified his removal and ordered that Sunday Bisi takes over the affairs of the party.

As part of the efforts to present a united front in the next election, the current PDP leadership has intersified efforts to reach out to all aggrieved members in the party.
However, in spite of the efforts of the reconciliation committee to get everyone to close rank, a chieftain of the party in Osun state, Hon. Funmilayo Olasehinde resigned her membership of the party.
It was gathered that Olasehinde who was a former Local Government Chairman in Ifedayo, member, House of Assembly and Special adviser on Planning and Strategy to former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola disclosed her resignation from the party.
The party members should know that the factors that can determine their electoral success in the forthcoming elections are spread membership. They have more chances of victory at the polls if their followers cut across the society.
Lastly, unity within the party can brighten the success of the party at elections. If the members are divided into different factions, it can be a doom to the party.
