Obansanjo in his condolences letter to Buhari on Saturday said Kyari's death should be a solemn reminder and a boost to Nigerians that the fight against this pandemic requires a collective effort to conquer
The letter read " I received the news of the demise of Alhaji Abba Kyari, your cheif of staff, over Friday night, with great sadness as he lost the battle against the dreadful killer disease, covid 19".
"Abba Kyari death must be painful to you and to his family and friends, but you can all take solace in the fact that he died in the service of his country".
"His death must be a solemn reminder to all of us that covid 19 requires all hand in deck soberly, cooperatively, humanely, justly, equitably, fairly, consolidately and comprehensively to be able to fight it successfully and to get all Nigerians back to good health and healthy economy"
Also, National leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has urge the Federal Government to make reliec funds to households through Bvn to fight against the pandemic.
He also said that the use of Bvn would also be safer and not lead to violence and crime that may erupt from physical transfers and also benefits formal banking as it will encourage others to get bank account.
"Most families need relief , if relief is not forthcoming these families are at risk of hunger and suffering" Tinubu said
