A famous writer, Jonathan Edwards Said, "There are always two sides to every story and is generally wise and safe and charitable to take the best..." And I say there's always a story for every story teller because as they say, "in every rumor there's an atom of truth".
The story of fake news has been making rounds on the internet to the extent that some of our representatives in the National Assembly called for a Social Media Regulation Bill.
Bashir Ahmed, The Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, has come out to debunk the news of The Federal Government Planning to pay Boko Haram penitents N150,000 monthly salary.
Bashir, made this known through his Twitter handle, he said that the story is baseless and should be regarded as fake news and has asked for credible source from the posters.
However, People have reacted to this and some have said that the people are not the only one that spread fake news that the government do also. Some also went ahead to dig out a video of the interview Senator Ali Ndume had with Channels TV were he stated that the Boko Haram Repentants will be paid.
And all these are happening because of the government's unstable nature.
Here are some of people's reactions.
