According to Mrs Joy Nunieh, the embattled ex-MD of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), men of the Nigerian Police cordoned of her place of residence in Rivers State, denying her entry and exit.
She stated that the police men, who claimed to be of the 'Mobile 19', attempted to force her into their car, but she refused and quickly shut her door and called the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike, who swiftly arrived at her house with his convoy and stopped the foiled the plan to get her arrested, by asking the policemen to leave immediately, while taking Mrs. Joy Nunieh to the Government House, in his car.
Gov. Wike's conduct is truly exemplary of what a leader should be. He has acted as a defender of democracy, as Mrs Joy Nunieh, is billed to meet with a Special Panel in a couple of days to talk about the financial activities of the NDDC, and how #40 billion was spent.
You may recall that of recent, the former Managing Director of the NDDC, has been very vocal about the financial improprieties, taking place in the NDDC and many Nigerians believe that her this may have been the reason the attempted arrest.
Thankfully, Governor Wike was on ground to foil the plans and Nigerians, remain grateful to Governor Nyesome Ezenwo Wike, for his bravery and this act of selflessness, should be imitated, by all and sundry.
Indeed, Nigerians celebrate Governor Wike.
Dear friends, what's your take on this act of Gov. Nyesome Wike?
