Sequel to the unconfirmed reports that the Special Public Works recruitment forms is being distributed to APC ward leaders across the country to give to it's members, the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, while speaking on Saturday, revealed that he was not the one who gave such directives, as he urged Nigerians to disregard such form given them by any APC leader, as such forms not be reconked with.
The Minister, while expressing his displeasure against the purpoted forms being distributed to APC Leaders to give to members, reiterated that the programme is meant for all Nigerians and not APC members alone.
In his words, Keyamo in a Tweet on Saturday, said:
"I have NOT directed that forms for the SPW be distributed to APC Ward leaders to give to party members. Any of such list will be discountenanced. THIS IS NOT AN APC PROGRAMME but a programme FOR ALL NIGERIANS. We shall ONLY accept final lists from the States’ Selection Committees."
Recall that the Federal Government had kicked off the recruitment of interested Nigerians for the Special Public Works, which is aimed at giving temporary employment to 774,000 Nigerians, at 1,000 per local government, for three months (October-December), with N20,000 stipends for each month.
Do you think Keyamo deserves an applause for his action ?
