As the Nigerian army battles Boko Haram insurgents in the Northeast, the Minister of Defence, Magashi Bashir has charged the troops of "Operation Lafiya Dole" not to fear any bullet from the enemy (Boko Haram).

Below are his words in part according to the channels tv report:
"Don’t fear any bullet, the bullet will come and it will go. If you are not meant to die by a bullet you will never die but if you are meant to die by a bullet, even in your bedroom bullet will come and reach you, which is what I experienced during service.”
The minister revealed that the purpose of his visit was to inspect the combat mood of the troops of "Operation Lafiya Dole" and to heighten their morale.
He further disclosed the plans of Federal Government to recruit more troops to help in the fight against the insurgents, and to supply new equipment and skills to enhance their productivity.
