Doyin Okupe, the former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan (Goodluck Jonathan), said on Friday that ex-military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) was in the thought of him when describing the ideal next president.
Babangida said last week that the next president should be someone who talks to citizens, understands the economy, and has friends in all regions.
"I have started to imagine a good Nigerian leader. In other words, a person who travels all over the country and has a friend almost anywhere they travel, and they know at least one person they can communicate with," says IBB.
Okupe said in an interview with Arise TV on Friday that "IBB takes me into consideration when listing those qualities".
He said: "There is no local government in this country I have not been to five times. I am the most prepared person to be president.
"I think IBB is doing the right thing; believe me honestly. That person must be someone who can pick up their phone and call at least one person in every local government in the country.
The former assistant to the president said," This means it must be someone who socializes and understand the terrain throughout Nigeria. "
"I am over sixty years old. I think from the real situation of IBB though I haven't spoken to him. I think he has me in his heart. I must be one of the three people he has in his mind.
"Trust me, honestly, there is no local government in this country that I have not visited five times; no one. "And I am the most well-prepared person to be President.
