The spokesperson of the Labour Party presidential campaign council, Kenneth Okonkwo has revealed why Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party are constantly dismissing Peter Obi's chances of winning the presidential election.
It would be recalled that since Peter Obi joined the presidential race, a lot of critics particularly chieftains of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party have constantly claimed that the former Anambra state governor has no chances of winning the elections at all.
Addressing this issue in an interview with Channels TV, the Labour Party chieftain argued that the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress are constantly dismissing Obi's chances of winning over fear of his likely victory.
He said the two major parties have adopted the same campaign strategy, and part of the campaign strategy is to strike fear in the minds of Peter Obi's supporters so they will not vote for him.
Kenneth Okonkwo said "It's part of the strategy of campaign, when you know that this is your greatest threat, you want to discourage people. They are now threatened by Peter Obi, the only psychology they want to put out there is to tell the followers in order to dampen their spirits; no he will not win, no need to go and vote."
Kenneth Okonkwo however, noted that irrespective of their strategy, Peter Obi's supporters will troop out in large numbers to vote for him on the day of election.
"They should practice that fraud to men of greater vulnerability. We are not vulnerable, in our quest, we will continue to show them. On Saturday, you will see all the youths that will vote for Peter Obi."
