The incumbent Governor of Nasarawa State, Mr. Abdullahi Sule has joined other Nigerians who reacted to the recent trending incident that happened in Sokoto State. Recall that a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education was recently murmured on accusations of blasphemy.
This made many people to say that religion is one the issues in the country. However, the Governor while condemning this recent act, said religion is not the issue here.
The governor while hosting the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye ahead of a proposed crusade in his state, said from the video that: "All these attacks that are happening in Nigeria are not truly religious, they are purely political. And it is only God that can touch the hearts of all these people that are causing these problems. Religion is never the issue here because both religion preaches peace and love".
