Kwesi Pratt to the EU EOM: Your report on the 2020 elections is hopeless and useless

A report on the EU Election Observation Report for the 2020 elections has received an anonymous assessment by Kwesi Pratt Jnr, the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, who describes it as inconclusive and completely useless.

Pratt stated in the Alhaji & Alhaji show held on Saturday, April 17 that the report contains many contradictions.

In an attempt to discover what he held to be contradictions caught in the report, Pratt cited portions of the report in an attempt to uncover deceptive information purportedly contained in the report.

He stated that the report provided no information that would shape the electoral process in Ghana.

"The discussions do not seem to reflect what is in the report.

Essentially either the report itself was not read or the participants are purposely skewing the discussion so as to achieve a propaganda advantage."

Therefore, every individual takes a part of the report and runs with it. The legitimacy of this report has left me clueless. It is an absolutely hopeless and pointless report. I am afraid we have found absolutely no information about the last elections in this report.

“As a matter of fact, anyone not living in Ghana could write this report."

Basically, this report is a waste of time.

The report is 94 pages long. You will see that many parts of the report contradict each other. He said, "The report is written so badly that it adds absolutely nothing to the debate at hand."

It was revealed earlier this week that the EU EOM has prepared a report and it has drawn a range of responses from various political parties in the country.

As a result of a Supreme Court decision which validated their victory in the presidential elections, the New Patriotic Party has accepted the report.

According to John Boadu, General Secretary of the National People's Party, “If you look at the complete report, you will see that they are raising issues that are extremely challenging.

And I am surprised they aren't interested in funding; I guess they can't even account for votes that they received; they can't even do that so I'm not surprised.

The deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamoah Otokunor said, “This report ignores the security situation that was the worst in the history of our elections.

"The report failed to explore the extent to which the Electoral Commission threw caution to the wind and was so openly biased that it excluded people, hindered people and disenfranchised people in running an electoral process."
