The Vice Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Kashim Shettima has paid a private visit to elder statesman Chief Edwin Clark at his private residence in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. They interacted and engaged in series of conversations on wide range of topics. Kashim Shettima also visited the executive Governor of Yobe State Mr Mai Mala Buni.
This is part of his plan to consult with prominent stakeholders across the country in order to solicit for support. Political consultations and engagements are strategic ways of winning support from influential personalities in the country. Kashim Shettima and his entourage seized the opportunity to confer with the prominent politicians on their political aspirations.
The forthcoming general elections will be very competitive considering the personalities of the contenders. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has continued to advocate for active political participation among Nigerians. The Commission has extended the continuous voter registration exercise in order to capture more people.
