What Shehu Sani Said After More Than 40 Persons Were Killed By Bandits In Sokoto

Former Nigerian Lawmaker representing Kaduna central Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has once again broken his silence. This time around, the outspoken Nigerian politician reacted to the recent killing of more than forty innocent citizens by bandits in Sokoto state."Photo credit; SaharaReporters"

The former lawmaker who appeared pained and bittered said a lot of things while reacting. This article will take a look at four major things he said.

1. Shehu Sani said that the killing of the people despite the presence of heavily armed security personnel in the state is tragic and condemnable.

2. He said history and posterity will not be kind to those who chose to remain quiet out of fear or expectation of favour from those in power while the blood of the people are shed everyday.

3. Shehu Sani who appeared pained and bittered, said there is nowhere in the world where people are slaughtered in mass scale like the Northern part of the country.

4. He ended by saying that when people live at the mercy of terrorists, it shows that there is a vacuum in leadership."Photo Credit; Peoples Gazette"

Though many may beg to differ, Shehu Sani's reaction is not far from the truth. The worsening security situation in the North West is gradually becoming a major source of concern for everyone. And if care is not taken, things may get out of hand.

All relevant authorities in the state should do all they can to bring an end to these reoccurring attacks by bandits. Enough is enough.
