Kano Boils, 60 Arrested, 3 Vehicles Burnt, Many Injured

Following clashes between rival political parties supporters on Zaria Road, Kano State, no fewer than 63 suspects have been arrested by men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
The rival party supporters wielded dangerous weapons during the clashes, including burning of three cars and smashing of another. Many others were confirmed to have been injured.

Buhari Lands Daura

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday arrived in Daura, his hometown, Katsina State ahead of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.
The presidential jet touched ground at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport at exactly 4:41 pm, ten minutes after which the jet was opened for the President and his entourage to come down and proceed to Daura on a white helicopter.

Rivers Rep Member Arrested With Foreign Currency

A member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Chinyere Igwe, has been arrested with an unspecified amount of foreign currencies.
Igwe, who represents Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2, in the lower chamber of the National Assembly, was arrested on Friday morning along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.
