Nigeria’s President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said his victory in the just concluded presidential elections is for all Nigerians.
Tinubu said this on Wednesday during the presentation of Certificate of Return to him and the Vice President Elect, Kashim Shettima by Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu on Wednesday in Abuja.
While reaching out to individuals who came in last in the contest, Tinubu challenged them to work with him to create a better Nigeria.
I want you to know that my doors are open. I understand that some of you did not vote for me, and I understand how hurt you must be, especially since your preferred presidential candidate is not the one receiving this certificate.
My victory belongs to all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or political party allegiances. I want to reassure everyone, especially the young people, that we will work together to create the nation of our dreams.
The INEC proclaimed Tinubu the winner of the february 25 presidential election after a hotly contested race. He received 8,794,726 votes, beating out PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar, who received 6,984,520. According to Vanguard report.
