The legislator said this is the work of Julius Berger because their own is to constructs bridged but they won't be able to do to the three projects work on time and they suggested they should distribute it to different companies that will work on it on time, they accused the company of submitting documents claiming work done on the projects.

Abubakar Kabir who is the Chairman of the Committee, who is from Kano State said at exact yesterday during National Assembly meeting he received some documents from Julius Berger company which is the proposal for the three project and with the situation of things now President Buhari tenure can not commissioned 2nd Niger Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Express Way, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kani road.

Rep Kabir quoted that "Despite collecting more than N200 billion, Julius Berger is still yet to do substantial work on the projects”, Kabir said, adding that ” The documents presented (By Julius Berger) at the hearing, are fake”.

Due to this reason the committee is proposing that the project should be splits and gives to other companies instead of Julius Berger company only.

The amount that will complete 2nd Niger Bridge is N206,151,693billion, for Kaduna-Abuja Road is N155billion, while the 1st section of the Lagos-Ibadan road was N134billion.

The legislator promised to prevent Abacha Loot money for the project from any party under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has been trying all their effort to secure the looted money which is well kept by the government and the money will be used for the same purpose, we will not allow the money to be relooted through inefficiency and corruption". Kabir explained.

In conclusion, the project will be awarded under Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) who will help them to monitor the projects and followed a resolution of the House 27th February 2020 mandating its Committee on Works.
