Atiku speaks on announcement of new date for WAEC Examinations

The Federal Government and West African Examination Council came to an agreement to shift the date of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination from August 4 to September 5, 2020.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to this new announcement. Atiku Abubakar had his say on his new date through his Twitter account. Atiku said he is elated at the reports that the Federal Government and WAEC has shifted the date. Furthermore, he said that the news that the government has agreed in consultations with school owners reaching guidelines by July 29 in preparation for the reopening of schools.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made the Federal Government put schools on hold since the beginning of March, 2020. There have been appeals from some quarters for schools to resume, and this is surely good news for those who were looking forward to it.
