Muhammadu Buhari is a Nigerian Politician who has been president of Nigeria since 2015. He is a retired Major General of the Nigerian Army and served as military head of State from 1983 to 1985, after taking power in a military coup
Buhari ran for president of Nigeria in 2003, 2007 and 2011. In December 2014, he emerged as the nominee of the All Progressive Congress for the 2015 general election. He win the election, defeating incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan
Over the years, Muhammadu Buhari has done good things when he became the president of Nigeria. So far, I have recorded 5 good things he has done when he came into power
1) His active support for the emergence of Nigeria's Adewunmi Adeshina as African Development Bank President. This shown him to be a broad-minded patriot as opposed to his former image as military head of State in which he was seen as a narrow-minded religious and regional bigot
2) In September 2020, during a ministerial retreat to assess his stewardship, Nigeria's president Muhammadu Buhari declared his administration's progress in all fronts to improve his citizen's quality of life and set them on the path of prosperity
3) His war in favor of financial accountability and prudence in the management of the nation's fund. His striving for cutting down on the cost of governance is a part of that Noble war.
4) Frustration and discontent are fast spreading among the populace who have already been negatively impacted by the adverse economic consequences of the covid-19 pandemic. However the Government is quickly to showcase their achievement on infrastructure.
