Beware of Fake Recruitment Exercise : The Nigerian Army
The Nigerian Army as once again taken to its social media page to refute any recruitment exercise claims. These is coming after the Nigerian army noticed a rumour about itself calling for all able, qualified, and well meaning Nigerian citizens to sign up for the big role of Service to the Nigerian Nation circulating round the internet.
The Nigeria army which as been on the front line in the war against Insurgencies and banditry activities in the Northern part of the country, as well as securing vital national infrastructure in the Southern part of the country and in the case of external aggression, to defend the national integrity of the country as also added persecution against criminal individuals who are out to tarnish its reputation. In a press report issued by the military on it’s social media platforms, the Nigerian army was quoted saying;
“The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to the activities of criminal elements using fake social media accounts of senior military officers to defraud unsuspecting individuals with promises of recruitment into the Nigerian Army”.
The Nigeria Army went further to say,
“Please be informed that Nigerian Army Recruitment is currently not in progress. Should the recruitment commence, the information will be made available via the official Nigerian Army Social Media Platforms and website”
And on an ending note, the Nigerian army let out that efforts are on to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators of this act.
