George Moghalu who is an aspiring candidate for the Anambra Governorship election has sued the All Progressive Congress. He accused them of failing to conduct a free and fair primary election. George Moghalu asked the court to stop Andy Uba from contesting the election and also to delist APC from the Anambra Governorship election list. He also asked that he should be given the sum of 100 million Naira for the breach of contract to conclude the primary election.
According to Moghalu, he claimed that the APC did not conclude the selection and nomination exercise for the governorship candidates. Moghalu also said that APC collected 22.5 million Naira from him in order for him to participate in the Anambra Governorship primary election.
He further accused APC of announcing an election result when a valid election did not take place. He also claimed that the party did not invite INEC to examine and invigilate the election. He therefore asked the court to disqualify Andy Uba as the party's candidate and also to disqualify APC from participating in the election.
