Buhari's Regime Is Right By Not Naming Bokoharam Sponsors Because It Can Lead To Jungle Justice

According to a report by Peoples Gazette, Femi Adesina, the media aide of President Muhammadu Buhari said Buhari’s regime will not name and shame Boko Haram financiers and other sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria. He said naming and shaming these people will not be the motive but bringing them to justice in the court of law.

This criminal case is already in the court of law, the sponsors will be made to face the full wrath of the law. They are being arraigned in the court, but Nigerians are looking for a quick and easy way to get to them. They want their names published so that everybody will know them. The government has said no to naming the sponsors, they understand that Nigerians have no patient and might results to jungle justice, attack and stigmatization.

Just like what has happened recently in Sokoto, where eleven bandits were dragged out of police station and maimed by the people, and in Imo where an escaped prisoner who was trying to enforce IPOB sit at home order by looting and extorting people was apprehended and given the beating that ended his life. Now let say the government release the names of the sponsors, won't Nigerians linch them? The answer is yes.

Therefore the government know what they are doing, they want to go through the normal process in the court and release their findings to Nigerians. These sponsors are high-profile Nigerians that also have power, they are rich and can cause further mayhem across Nigeria. It is with no doubt that they are benefiting from the continued terror in Nigeria and don't want it to stop. Even though 400 of them have been arrested, their retinues are still carrying out terror across Nigeria. Through this arrangement, other unknown sponsors and financiers can be apprehended.
