Imo Ex - Deputy Governor Reacts To Akeredolu's Sun Award, Describes It As Deserving

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has reacted to the recent "Sun Award" conferred on the First Lady of Ondo State, describing her as restless with positive energy.

The former Deputy Governor said he joins other well meaning Nigerians to Congratulate the wife of the Governor of Ondo State, Chief (Mrs.) Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on her recent "Sun Award" as the "Most Supportive First Lady of the Year" 2020, describing it as most deserving.

Prince Madumere who spoke to the newsmen described the First Lady of Ondo State as a virtuous woman whose toil has always radiated love for her husband and future of her children.

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State commended the Sun Publishing Limited and the organisers of "The Sun Award" as true Nation builders.

"I must commend the Sun Publishing Limited and the Organisers of the Sun Award because every outing is a novelty and every award has far reaching impact".

"I know the Akeredolus. The Governor is a committed leader who is passionate about his people and most importantly, the future of his people and Nigeria at large. This has reflected in most of his decisions, policies and programmes.

"God knowing whom Rotimi Akeredolu is blessed him with a helpmate who could stand in the gap and help him accomplish greater grounds.

"The First Lady of Ondo State is a humble child of God who has never rested on her oars in search of a secure future for the women, girl child and the youths generally.

" Her step to bring to consciousness the ravaging disease of breast cancer is unequal. Having gone through that painful path and God saved him, rather than keep quiet, she fought back raising army of dogged fighters against breaks cancer. Thousands of women have been saved through her awareness campaign and treatment of those discovered through testing.

"We are all aware about her effort in reaching out to the widows across Ondo State and ensuring they got palliatives. And that database is there to help in policies and programmes of the government.

"Her BEMORE programme for Girl child is one of kind in creatively preparing the Girl child for the future. She has trained about 2000 girls in ICT and Renewable energy. The last outing held in our State, Imo.

"It is simply an honour well deserved and I commend Governor Akeredolu, Senior Advocate of Nigeria for allowing his wife to be the prescribe biblical helpmate."
