The former Senate President and the former Governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki will continue Relevant Politically in Kwara State. Recalled that Saraki ordained Governorship candidate was not voted in Kwara State, out of annoyance, People voted against Saraki's Candidate. And the New Governor took the mantle of Leadership in the State. The new Governor, Abdulraman Abdulrazaq, won the Governorship election under the Platform of the All Progressive Congress APC in the state.
Meanwhile, Senator Bukola Saraki defected from the ruling All Progressive Congress APC in 2019 to his new Party, PDP and most of the leaders in Kwara State defected along with him. Saraki contested the Last PDP Presidential Primary election and Atiku Abubakr won the Primary election in the Party and became the candidate of the PDP in the last Presidential Polls. At the end of the 2019 Polls, Saraki lost both the Presidential and Governorship seat to the All Progressive Congress APC in Kwara State.
Meanwhile, Governor Abdulraman Abdulrazaq that won the Governorship election in 2019 was able to win the election through the coalition formed with other camps in the Party against Senator Bukola Saraki. But Governor Abdulraman Abdulrazaq could not meet up with the expectations of the People of Kwara State. Recalled that All the Leaders in Kwara State APC, that worked for the Progress of Governor Abdulraman Abdulrazaq and the Party in 2019 Governorship Polls are no more with the Governor.
Though, These leaders still belong to the All Progressive Congress APC but they are no more Governor camp. It means that the Governor may find it very difficult to win his second term as Governor of the State. The 2023 Governorship Polls in Kwara State may not favour the All Progressive Congress APC with what is happening in the Party among the Party Leaders.
Why Saraki Remained Great In Kwara Politics.
The Saraki Dynasty in Kwara State will continue Relevant Politically in Kwara State. The crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress APC in Kwara State is an indication that Saraki may likely rule again in the Forthcoming Polls. Saraki has reached out to notable leaders in Kwara State ahead the 2023 Polls. Recalled that Saraki may also contest the 2023 Presidential Polls. The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, made it known that the Party may likely go for Saraki or Atiku Abubakr in the Forthcoming Polls.
Presently Saraki's younger sister is a State Minister for Transportation. This is also an indication that Saraki is still in control of Kwara State. Recently, Saraki was in Kwara State for Ramadan Tafsir and he donated Ten Million Naira for the completion of Central mosque in Kwara State. All these are Part of what Make Saraki great in the Politics of Kwara State. Saraki's father, Late Olusola Saraki did well for the People of Kwara State and his legacy lives on, till date.
Therefore, The Present administration in the State could only be in Power, for Short period of time. The real occupant of the house will soon take over the Power. What makes Saraki to stand out among his colleagues is his ability to use his Brain to get things done at the appropriate time. All the leaders who have dumped Saraki's Camp for the ruling APC are ready to come back to Saraki, and work for the success of the Party in the Forthcoming Polls.
