Many Igbos have made the wrong decision to join the agitations for a Biafra homeland rather than trusting in Nigeria's sovereignty as a great nation. In recent years, the IPOB's opposition to Nigerian political matters has been a major topic of discussion.

However, there are three top Igbo politicians who are strictly against IPOB. The tangibe reasons they gave will also be discussed in this article.
The three top Igbo politicians are listed below.
Governor Dave Umahi is strictly against IPOB and the Agitators in his state. Umahi has openly kicked against their movement. He gave a tangible reason why Igbos should forget about secession.
Umahi pointed out that Igbos have a lot of investment across Nigeria. According to him, Igbos can't afford to lose their investments because of Biafra actualization.
2: Governor Uzodinma.
Governor Uzodinma has condemned the activities of IPOB in his state several times. The governor governor has urged Igbos to drop their agitation and work with the government for a better Nigeria.
His reason is because Igbos will not gain anything if they continue to support IPOB unlawful activities.
3: Ken Nnamani.
Ken Nnamani is against the Biafra Agitation in the southeast. The former Senate President recently stated in one of his recent speeches that Igbos will not get Biafra since they have a lot of things in Nigeria.
According to him, major parts of Lagos were developed by Igbos, so they can't afford to abandon them.
In my opinion, Governor Umahi and Nnamani are right because Igbos stand to lose a huge asset if they leave Nigeria. Aside from assets, they might find it difficult to survive in their own country. They should embrace peace and pray for a better Nigeria.
