Meet The First Nigerian Soldier To Attain The Rank Of A General Without Skipping A Single Rank

22 years after the death of Nigeria`s former Head of State, General Sani Abacha. He took power from Ernest Shonekan, on 17 November 1993. He is always remember in Nigeria`s history,because his rule saw the achievement of several economic feats and also human abuses.

He became the first Nigerian Army officer to attain the rank of a full military general without skipping a single rank. He was involved in the 31 December coup, against President Shehu Shagari, that brought General Buhari to government.He was later involved in a coup against General Buhari and make General Ibrahim Babangida as Head of State.

He sentence Ken Saro-Wiwa, a Nigerian writer and an environmentalist,he also sentence eight Ogoni leaders to death by hanging. After the death of General Sani Abacha, General Olusegun Obasanjo, was free from prison. He was born in Kano State, North Western Nigeria, during the Nigeria`s civil war, he fought against the Biafran Soldiers.
