As people look foreward to 2023 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party may be strategising on how it will defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress and re-launch itself back to power.
The truth of the matter is that the All Progressive Congress has built a formidable party that cannot be very easy to break. But, if PDP must break forth, it must play its political card very well and how I think PDP should play its game for a better success is that;
1. PDP should jettison its zoning arrangements. Though zoning enhances all geopolitical zones to be involved in the participating but truth be told, winning an election in Nigeria has to do with population per geo-political zones. Often times, when votes are been counted, Northern result comes last because of their population. So, i think that PDP should adopt is picking a credible candidate from the North and can be paired with a vice from the South-East, South-South or South West.
2. PDP must try to resolve every internal crisis that may be causing disunity among party leaders and members. Of course, when there is internal fracas in the party, the opposition capitalizes on that.
3. The party should intensify its grassroot campaign the more. Since the party lost power to APC in 2015, it has not really done much in the area of grass root campaigning.
