1. President Buhari’s silence frustrating - DG PGF.
Salihu Moh Lukman, the Director General of the Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, has condemned the lingering leadership crisis in the National Working Committee, NWC, of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, lamenting that the seeming reticence of President Muhammadu Buhari on the issue has become frustrating.
Lamenting that APC is collapsing, and NWC members are working for godfathers, Lukman canvassed flushing out of the NWC members, and convening a National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting to address the party’s myriad of crises.
2. Family debunks Ajimobi’s death rumour.
The atmosphere was tense in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, over the health status of a former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Ajimobi, who is currently the newly appointed acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress, has been receiving treatment for suspected COVID-19 ailment in a Lagos hospital for close to two weeks.
Principal officers within the party made frantic efforts to ascertain Ajimobi’s status.
3. We will complete 22 highways in 2020 and 2021 - Fashola.
According to Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, the Federal Government will complete 22 major roads in 2020 and 2021.
Fashola also stated that Nigeria was currently constructing a bridge to link the country with Cameroon.
The minister who spoke in a live television programme monitored by our correspondent in Abuja noted that Nigeria lost one year of construction due to the reduction of the national budget in 2017.
4. Edo APC aspirant’s father-in-law has been killed by Gunmen in the State.
Gunmen have killed an 80-year-old university don, Prof Christopher Ogiehor, a father-in-law of an Edo State aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Matthew Iduoriyekenmwen.
Ogiehor was said to have been found dead in his house which is located at 13, Egbor Anenne Street, off Benoni, by the Government Reservation Area in Benin City.
