The former speaker of the house of representatives, Ghali Umar Na'Abba, has revealed why most northerners are against zoning. He stated that it's because they see President Muhammadu Buhari's tenure in office as waste of opportunity.
The former lawmaker made this disclosure when he appeared as a guest on Daily Politics, a programme on Daily Trust television. Umar Na'Abba stated it clearly that most Northerners are opposing the zoning, because they have not benefited from this present administration.
Speaking further, the former house speaker made it known that President Buhari runs the country without appropriate consultations. He further stated that the perception that this present administration is against the southerners has become a reality, making it known that even the northerners are complaining about this present administration.
This is really a funny one from Ghali Umar Na'Abba. I don't think that this is really enough reason for the north to be kicking against zoning. The fact still remains that President Buhari is a northerner and his tenure is going to be completed in the year 2023. Therefore, the south should be allowed to produce the next president, come 2023.
