A recent report showed that President Muhammadu Buhari has embarked on different projects in many parts of Igboland.

This was disclosed recently by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami who stated that the project will be completed in 2022.

Recall that the second Niger Bridge is one of the most important projects to the Igbo people because of its economic value to the region.
The massive project was abandoned for many years before the administration of President Buhari picked interest in the project and promised to complete it for the people of the region.

Many Igbo leaders had already inspected the ongoing second Niger Bridge and commended the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for the giant strides.

In one of their inspections, the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, and the Igbo apex social-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, among others commended the level of ongoing work at the second Niger Bridge.
When completed in 2022, the second Niger will improve the economic prosperity of Igboland and decongest the old Niger Bridge.
