President Buhari On His Way To Addis Ababa For Prime Minister Ahmed's Second Inauguration

One of the stressful aspect of politics is the excessive traveling from one place to another, and from one country to the other, as President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to leave Abuja for Addis Ababa of Ethiopia, to attend the second term inauguration of the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, scheduled to hold on Monday.

This was made known in a statement issued by his Special Advicer on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, on Saturday in Abuja.

Mr Buhari is heading to Ethiopia to deliver a goodwill message at the inauguration ceremony, after which he will attend a State Banquet in honour of visiting Heads of States and Government.

Meanwhile, the President is expected to be back on Tuesday with his accompanies which include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Onyeama, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.

The Nigerian representatives are going to Ethiopia because Prime Minister Ahmed secured another term in office following the victory of Ethiopia's governing Prosperity Party (PP) in the country's June 21 parliamentary election.

Earlier, President Buhari on his congratulatory message to the Prime Minister, assured that Nigeria will continue to support the unity and territorial well-being of Ethiopia and all African countries.
