The final day is here and the whole world is glued to the EDO 2020 Governorship elections featuring the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki of the PDP and his main rival Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC.
Be that as it may the era of speculations and permutations are finally over, no more need to argue anymore on the chances of the contending candidates as the next few hours the results would be out for the world to see.
However, the APC candidate Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has shown so much confidence in emerging victorious in today’s polls.
His confidence has been overwhelming to the extent that Obaseki is already jittery over an impending defeat.
Reports coming in say Obaseki has already constituted his legal team to challenge the outcome of the results.
Today’s election would be historic as it would be a reminiscent of the 1983 elections in then Bendel State that swept away Professor Ambrose Alli from power by Brigadier General Samuel Ogbemudia.
We shall be transmitting live updates of reports from Edo State as the people decide.
