The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Daniel Pondei, has fainted while being questioned by the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission.
Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Daniel Pondei, appeared to faint as the House of Representatives committee on NDDC grilled him on Monday.
The committee is in its fourth day of public hearing as it investigates alleged financial misappropriation at the agency.
Pondei fainted while the house committee had grilled him for about 45 minutes about the spending of the commission since he took over, and spending of the commision on payment of students scholarship.
He was immediately taken out of the house sitting for medical attention, which led to interruption of the committee proceedings, and the committee is yet to decide either to suspend the proceedings or continue as Akpabio stayed back.
