Following this, many well-wishers have reportedly congratulated him for the success, in which President Muhammadu Buhari was not left out as well. President Muhammadu Buhari had also sent him his heartfelt greetings, despite the fact that Adeleke was a member of an opposition party, the PDP.

Moreover, during an interview with Channels TV, Governor Ademola Adeleke said he was happy to receive the congratulatory message from Buhari despite the difference in their political parties. He further appreciated the efforts and the strong support of the president.

According to some of his words, Governor Ademola Adeleke also said that "Buhari was the one that signed the electoral act that brought me in, and I am grateful for his support."
