The Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Mathew Kukah, on Friday explained the degree of nepotism in President Muhammadu Buhari's Government
Kukah, who talked on the current Development in an assertion named: "A country looking for vindication," said there might have been a coup or war in the nation if a non-Muslim turns into a president and does a small amount of what Buhari did.
A few Nigerians including ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and ex-military Governor of Kaduna State, Col. Umar Abubakar, had in the past communicated worry at the unbalanced arrangements into security and other strategic agencies of government under President Buhari.
The cleric stated: "This administration owes the country a clarification with respect to where it is going as we appear to travel into darkness. The spilling of this blood should be identified with a more vile plot that is outside our ability to grasp. Is it true that we will remain hogtied by these shrewd men or would they say they are slowly turning out to be essential for a bigger plot to seal the destiny of our nation?
"President Buhari purposely sacrifice the dream of the individuals who voted for him.what in particular appeared to be a program to delineate and standardize northern authority by lessening others in open life to below average status.
"Each fair Nigerian realizes that it is extremely unlikely any non-Northern Muslim President might have done a small amount of what President Buhari has done by his nepotism and get away with it.
"There would have been a military coup quite a while past or we would have been at war. The president may have presumed that Christians will never really will live with these activities.
"He might be correct and we Christians can't feel sorry that we have no pool of violence to draw from or undermine our nation. Be that as it may, God doesn't rest. We can see from the odd situation of the North."
