Dino Melaye clears the air on rumours making the rounds that he has dumped PDP for APC

Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the rumour making the rounds that has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC. According to him he remains a member of the PDP and will not leave PDP for the APC which he described as an NGO

After news came in yesterday that a former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani Kayode, a well known critic of the APC was making moves to dump the PDP for the APC, reports also came in that many other members of the PDP including four PDP Governors are also planning to join the APC.

As for the case of Femi Fani Kayode, the news that he is planning to join the APC was disclosed by the Nation. According to the Nation, someone close to the former Minister disclosed it to the news media that Femi Fani Kayode held a meeting with Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and the Caretaker Chairman of the APC Gov. Mai Mala Buni.

Femi Fani Kayode also shared some photos of himself, the Governor of Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and the National Chairman of the APC, Gov. Mai Mala Buni via his Twitter handle and said they talked about the nation, national issues, party politics and the way forward.

On his own part, Senator Dino Mela while reacting to his defection rumour, said he cannot leave the PDP and join an NGO party like APC

"God go punish those coming to say Dino leave PDP. How can I leave a political party and join an NGO like APC. Yeye dey smell...comot 4 road jare. SDM."
