The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that the inauguration of the incoming Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration will go through as planned, noting that no amount of lawsuit could derail the transition process.
It was stated that this was not the first time Nigeria will have disputed elections, and that previous disputes did not prevent presidential inaugurations. As a result, Tinubu's inauguration was a done thing.
However, while providing an update on Tinubu's inauguration, Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari's Special Assistant on Digital Communications, announced the identity of the president who will deliver Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's inaugural speech on May 29th.
While speaking, he stated that the former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, will deliver the speech. "Former President of Kenya, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, will deliver Bola Ahmed Tinubu's inauguration lecture, as part of the events planned for the handover ceremony," he stated.
