Uzodimma Expresses Readiness To Conduct LG Election.

The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has announced his preparedness to conduct elections in the 27 local government councils of the State soon.

The Governor made this known while addressing the congregation during a Church Service at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, Imo State on Sunday.

Governor Uzodimma also thanked the people of Imo State for their support since assumption of office and commended the APC members in the State for the manner they conducted themselves during the State Congress, devoid of rancour and acrimony.

Yobe Education Provost Dies.

The provost of Umar Suleiman College of Education, Gashua, Mohammad Gishiwa, is dead.

Mr Gishiwa, 53, died on Sunday while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kano, following injuries sustained in a car accident on October 4.

His death was confirmed by the deputy provost of the college, Hassan Bulama, on Monday.

I'm Not Under Pressure To Withdraw Case From Court - Secondus.

Mr Uche Secondus, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday said he has no intention of withdrawing the case challenging his removal from court.

A statement by Secondus’s Media Adviser, Mr Ike Abonyi, on Monday, said that he was in court to seek for justice, as well as save the party from manipulations.
