The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi , Ojaja 11 has regretted the detention of Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho in Benin Republic.
According to BBC interview, the Ooni said during the meeting between him and President Muhammadu Buhari, he (President Buhari) said Igboho needs to be calm and patient.
According to Ooni, the President also asked South West traditional rulers to advise Sunday Igboho against moves that are lawless.
The monarch said further that the Yoruba nation's agitator rejected advise offered him earlier by the monarchs sent to dialogue with him.
The royal father said further that though, Sunday Igboho was fighting a just cause but his approach was wrong and he was misled by some politicians.
Currently, Chief Sunday Adeyemo (A.K A Sunday Igboho) is still at detention in Benin Republic, where he was arrested some months ago while trying to jet out to Germany, through Cotonou, Benin Republic Airport.
