The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has finally reacted to the lingering corruption allegations against the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) under the supervision of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.
Recall that the former Acting Managing Director of the Interim Managing Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Joy Nunieh accused the honorable Minister, Godswill Akpabio of different corruption activities and also sexual harrasment. The Nigerian Senate ad-hoc committee invited Mrs Nunieh to come and testify against him, Akpabio then tried making it impossible for her to travel to Abuja by sending security personnel to place her under house arrest before Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike swiftly made his way to Nunieh's house to Chase the security men away and personally drove her to the airport.
President Muhammadu Buhari released a Statement via his Twitter handle where he started with the line "I am determined to get to the root of the problem undermining the development of the Niger Delta, in spite of the enormous national resources dedicated to this annually. This administration remains committed to bringing rapid, even and sustainable development to the region."
The saga continues, now that the president has reacted let's hope justice would be served.

07-18 18:08:08The so called Niger Delta people are making mockery of themselves and laughing stock of the fulanis and hausas, who are really allegedly looting the Nigerian money without probe or trials. Shame on them
