The ruling All Progressive Congress APC in Cross River has ordered over 3 million bunch of brooms from those into the business of making brooms in the state so they can use it to welcome new members coming into the party.

According to Mr Ita, he stated that the broom which is the party's unique symbol had unexpectedly become scarce in the entire state of Cross River after many people decamped to the party immediately Governor Ben Ayade defected into the party.
Mr Ita continued, “To handle the scarcity of brooms during the forthcoming occasion to welcome new members, the party has decided to order 3 million brooms from our local broom makers so we can meet the rising demand.

“You should all know that It is not just mere news that this time is the season of broom revolution, and the state has experienced scarcity of brooms since the defection of the governor to our party.
“But let me tell you that the scarcity of brooms in Cross River is now news as several people continue to troop into our party.
“Just last weekend, several local government chairmen and councillors, even federal and state lawmakers and over 100,000 of their followers in Bekwarra, Ikom and Etung council areas defected to the party,” the statement revealed.
