Barely two weeks after the presidential election, members and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State dumped PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress on Thursday.
Leader of the defectors and former member of the state House of Assembly, Adeyinka Banso, said they dumped the PDP following the leadership crisis, declaring that the party had lost focus and vision.
He explained that he lost interest in the PDP when the opposition party picked its presidential candidate from the northern part of the country, saying it was a breach of the agreement on part of the PDP.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has threatened to frustrate any member of opposition political parties in the state who emerges a winner in the forthcoming governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
The governor, who issued the threat on Wednesday while addressing members and supporters of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state, asked the people of the state to cast their votes for APGA candidates.
Soludo according to a video where he spoke in Igbo and obtained by SaharaReporters, threatened that he would never approve any developmental project for members of opposition parties in the State House of Assembly.

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties, CNPP, has said that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, not President Muhammadu Buhari, should be held responsible if the country burns following outcome of the presidential and national Assembly elections.
The CNPP disclosed this on Thursday by its Secretary General, Willy Ezugwu, exonerate Buhari from all matters arising from the just general elections results.
APC Welfare Officer, Nwosu, Dies In Abuja Hospital .

The National Welfare Officer of the All Progressives Congress and a member of the National Working Committee, Friday Nwosu, has been reported dead.
Nwosu, a chieftain of the party, once contested Abia State governorship election on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party before defecting to the ruling APC.
The late legal icon was said to have been admitted in an undisclosed health facility in the Federal Capital Territory before he was discharged on Wednesday.
Nwosu reportedly went back to the same hospital for a routine check up on Thursday where a source confirmed that he relapsed and had to be rushed into the intensive care unit where he gave up the ghost.
