Youths should not be distracted by gangs of scammers known as the "yahoo guys," according to Osinbajo.
The Vice President stated emphatically that the Yahoo lads would be tried and imprisoned.
Instead of allowing Yahoo boys to divert them, Osinbajo told the inaugural convocation speech of Kola Daisi University in Ibadan, Oyo State, that youths should strive to utilize the numerous programs put up by the Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria to encourage young entrepreneurs.
He claimed that many Nigerian youths have succeeded without resorting to deception.
"Don't be distracted by the yahoo yahoo lads who will show up one day with expensive cars," he added. Their days are continually counting down.
"They'll end up in jail one day." The idea, of course, is that making money is pointless if you can't get a good night's sleep.
"However, you must learn about the assistance that is accessible, whether from the commercial or public sector." The Federal Government, for example, has set up a N75 billion National Youth Investment Fund. This program gives financial assistance to small enterprises in any industry.”
